    Ilfracombe and District Lions Club are hosting their annual Swimarathon!? We are inviting orginisations to raise money for either their own charity or for others. All you have to do is get a team of 4-6 people together ( there's no age limit ) plus one adult non swimmer who will act as your captain. Get as much sponsorship as you can! You will be allocated a 55 minute slot during the day where upon you will swim as a relay to raise as much money for your chosen charity. 50% of the sponsorship goes to Your chosen cause and 50% will go to the Lions Club to cover the hire of the pool and equipment and to our charitable funds. The emphasis is on Fundraising and Fun!? You can contact us by email to obtain an application form. We only have room for 8 more teams so hurry!!!

    This is the annual exhibition showcasing the student's creativity. Foundation degree students from Petroc will be exhibiting their artworks at the Graduate Degree Exhibition at the college's Brannams University campus this June.  Together with students from the B.A.Hons Professional Development degree as well as students from the art and design foundation diploma and the access qualification. The exhibition is open to the public with free admission-all welcome. It is open from Wednesday June 7th until Thursday 29th June, weekdays 10am to 4pm and Saturdays 10am to 3pm.     Stagecoach Theatre Arts Barnstaple is a part time performance arts school for children aged 4-18years. We coach our students in drama, dance and singing each Saturday during term times at Pilton Community College and work towards staging plays and productions as well as routines and songs to perform in and around the community. Many of our students come for their love of the performance arts whilst others come to build confidence and to learn new skills.     Come along to West Down Community Field's annual Village Fayre, Fun Run and Family Dog Show on Sunday 9th July 2017 11am to 4pm. The run is  10km of  a mainly cross country route called The Turbine Trail, which is being organised by Ilfracombe Running Club, and starts and finishes in West Down Community Field.  The dog show has lots of fun classes for all ages and shapes and sizes, with rosettes to 6th place and prizes to 3rd. We also have fun agility. The Village Fayre has stalls, entertainments, the band Jose and The Hot Dogs, Bbq, Bar, cream teas, bouncy castles etc etc. It will be a lovely day out for all the family.

    Due to the number of new members Samba Baia have now started a beginners practise session. Perfect for those who want to build up confidence slowly and who have had no prior experience.  Beginners will be phased into the main Samba band as and when they are ready. The main band practise after the beginners group.

    Hello!  Bonjour, Salut. We meet on the Tuesday of every week with a turnout averaging about 8 people or more each meet and members range from experienced to complete board game newbies so don't worry if you've never touched a board game before!     Samba Baia are an established Samba band who regularly perform for local charities and events.  We are currently looking for new members who would like to join ready for next seasons events, no prior experience is required.  Anyone aged 8 or over is welcome to join our friendly band.  Sessions are free and all instruments are provided.
