From The Jam    ::  Music From The Jam 31st March
    20:00 - 23:30
From The Jam return to The Factory – tickets on sale now! From The Jam featuring former The Jam bassist Bruce Foxton and legendary vocalist & guitarist Russell Hastings with drummer Steve (Smiley) Barnard, return to The Factory in Barnstaple for their 40th Anniversary 1977 – 2017 tour on Friday 31st March 2017. The Jam exploded onto the punk scene in 1977 delivering their ferocious mission statement – debut single ‘In The City’. With a catalogue that includes 18 UK Top 40 singles The Jam became the sound of The British youth and one of the greatest and biggest selling bands in British history. In 2000, Q magazine placed The Jam’s third album ‘All Mod Cons’ at Number 50 in its list of the 100 Greatest British Albums Ever. At their essence, From The Jam are a band keeping a spirit alive, a spirit that should be preserved. Since the 70s, The Jam’s music has punctured the airwaves with its power. From The Jam don’t rehash that power. Instead, they keep it going, they celebrate the material, and even give the crowd some new stuff. Hastings states simply, “I want to sing those songs as I remember them.” From The Jam enables that to happen, and crowds across the world – for years to come – will sing them right back.

Stagecoach Theatre Arts Barnstaple is a part time performance arts school for children aged 4-18years. We coach our students in drama, dance and singing each Saturday during term times at Pilton Community College and work towards staging plays and productions as well as routines and songs to perform in and around the community. Many of our students come for their love of the performance arts whilst others come to build confidence and to learn new skills. To come along as meet the team and find out a little more give us a call on 01271 533123 to enrol on a two week trial. Early Stages School (4-6years) - 9.30-11amMorning School - Main Stages (6-18years) - 10am-1pmAfternoon School - Main Stages (6-18years) - 2.30-5.30pm Main Stages Classes 6-18 yearsWe delight in seeing our Main Stages students grow in self-esteem, become more creative and develop great social skills that put them ahead of the rest. Our fun and friendly classes operate during term time, out of school hours, and run for three hours each week. Students are split by age into small groups so we can give every person the attention they deserve. No two lessons are the same as students enjoy experiencing a wide variety of performance skills and styles. With three terms a year we structure the lessons so that one term focuses on the skills of singing, dancing and acting, the second term allows students to practise and hone these skills, and the third term sees students gaining performance practise in front of friends and family.Stagecoach's experienced and professional teachers have worked in the performing arts and all are police checked to the highest level.A two week trial costs £50. A full term costs £324. 50% discount is given for siblings.Early Stages Classes 4-6yearsOur 90 minute classes are held weekly, during term time, over three 30 minute sessions. A two week trial costs £25. A full term costs £162We keep our class sizes small allowing us to nurture budding talent at the same time as inspiring those whose confidence needs building.
