I have lived in North Devon all my life, spending my childhood in West Down. I attended West Down Primary School then Braunton Secondary. After I left school, I started training as a motor mechanic and also set up my own mobile disco called “The Funky Chicken Roadshow”!
My love of music grew and I got involved in the start up of Tarka Hospital Radio and was a presenter for 27 years. When Lantern Radio came to Bideford as a Local Station, I co-presented a Community Programme on a Thursday evening. I now enjoy presenting two shows on The Voice – I believe local/community radio is a great asset to the area promoting local issues and being very accessible. Long may it continue.
