I started DJing in the early 70's as a very young teenager, using the latest technology of the time, vinyl records! In the early eighties I started broadcasting with Devizes Hospital Radio, which had established itself as a national award winning station.
Spent ten years there, presenting a weekly show as well as covering other presenters holidays and numerous outside broadcasts. Co-founded WCR Community Radio, Warminster, and we broadcast our first of several RSLs in 1996 in a bid for a full time licence for the area. In 2003 I joined Moonraker Event Radio presenting weekend breakfast and weekday evening shows.
I was a regular presenter on both WCR and Moonraker until 2006. I have hosted Friday afternoons from 2pm since the Voice started its very first broadcast back in 2010 and look forward to continue hosting this slot for the foreseeable future.
I spent many years running a mobile disco and held several residencies in various venues around the South West in the 1970’s & 1980’s and have very fond memories of those great days, and nights! I am fortunate to have the opportunity to revive those memories and the music of those days with floor fillers and party favourites on Friday nights with “DiscoDayz”, thankfully there is no webcam in The Voice studio so you won’t see just how tight those old flares are these days!
