Like many of my highly esteemed colleagues, I broke my teeth in Hospital Radio. My first adventure into the world of broadcasting with a transmitter, as opposed to hospital wires and tubes, was at one of the country's smallest commercial stations, Wey Valley Radio in Hampshire. From there, I presented various shows for the County Sound Network, including The Eagle and County Sound in Guildford, and Star FM in Slough, and a few stints on Kestrel FM Basingstoke.
I have lived in North Devon with my family for 12 years. It has a personality all of its own, and needs it's own radio station to serve the diversity of both its rural and town communities. My love of music has never diminished, my vinyl collection could keep the world's ash tray industry going for years, and my CD collection is catching up rapidly.
