The Runes are ancient. It is a written language used by the ancient Norse peoples, which is not spoken, yet each symbol has a sound. They have been used for divination for nearly two thousand years, and were considered to be mysterious and magical. Each symbol has a meaning, and I will give you an insight into what they mean, and how you can read them yourself.
In days of old, Rune Masters would draw a circle in the sand then magically cast the runes into it.
This enchanting evening of myth and legend, will give you an insight into how to create your own rune cloth, cast the runes into it and read them.
You will be taken through each step by a very experienced Rune Mistress, who will also guide you through the beautiful, insightful and fun stories of the Viking Sagas, Songs and folk stories.
Although this workshop is for those who have attended the Beginners workshop, it is not absolutely necessary for you to have done this. You will be given all the information needed to cast and read the Runes.
