Lisa Chanter is a local and family historian who has lived in North Devon all her life and has always had an interest in the area, it's history and people.

Over several years she has researched many local family histories including her own, along with the history of some local businesses, properties, the lives of some interesting individuals and some of those who served in the two World Wars.

She now gives talks such as this one to share her research with others.

Join Lisa to discover brief history of photography, followed by look at the life of Elizabeth Askew, a female Victorian photographer from South Molton, including the processes and equipment she would have used and the events and people she would have photographed.'
