Tutor: Andy Francis of Tarkatography.
This course is ideal for anyone new to photography, thinking of what camera to buy or has just picked up their new camera and needs to understand the basics.
The course, over 4 weeks, will cover an introduction to basic camera settings and terminology and then the exposure triangle of Shutter, Aperture and ISO settings, finishing with focusing.
There will be plenty of handouts available and the course tutor will set some easy tasks if you want to try out between weeks.
There are no practicals during the workshops but you are encouraged to bring in your cameras to discuss anything with the tutor.
Wednesday 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th October. 7-9pm
Please note limited access and no wheelchair access to St Anne's
About Andy Francis:
Since 2009 I have been a passionate photographer now based here in North Devon.
Being a member of a local camera club has enabled me to obtain two distinctions, one with the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain and the other with The British Photographic Exhibitions.
I am always mentoring new members at our camera club and strongly believe in giving as much support as I can to anyone new to photography.
The beauty of photography lies not only in the final image but also in the journey of capturing it.
Every shot you take is an opportunity for growth, learning, and self-expression.
If a workshop you'd like to do is fully booked ring Box Office (01805 624624) to be added to the waiting list, you might be lucky! This also helps us ascertain the demand for particular workshops when programming.
